Hello friends it’s Tim here again from Super Mayhem, awooo, and boy howdy do we have some game hacking action for you today!

Over the years there has been many people asking how do you emulate the game genie when you play Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games? Well, today I thought I would answer that in the form of a short video, just like I have done with the NES Emulator before!

So first of all, the Genesis/Mega Drive emulator we will be using today is called “Fusion” and I like to use the Version 3.64 which is not only an easily obtainable emulator it is also one of the best ones I have come across as it plays most games and bootlegs and even includes recording capabilities if you want to save your game play by logging AVI files! Like my NES video there may be a newer version available these days but this is the one I use.

Anyway, without going into too much about the emulator itself there is a very simple way to get the game genie rom running on your emulator. This is so easy because it is actually built into this emulator and it allows you to save your Game Genie Codes during your session!

Using the Fusion App this is really super easy, simply open up the emulator, load your Rom you want to use, such as the original Sonic game, and once the chosen game is loaded just click on “File” again, and simply select the menu item “Game Genie/PAR” or use the keyboard short cut ALT+G.

From there the rest is pretty much self-explanatory! Just enter in your Game Genie code of choice for the selected game into the “Code” box and add a description to make your life easier, then click “Add Code” and then just select/highlight it from the list and click “OK”! If you want to use multiple codes at the same time, add a bunch of them and then just hold down CTRL (Control) and select the Game Genie cheats you want to use and then click “OK”.

And that’s it, BAM! You are now emulating your favourite Sega Genesis or Mega Drive games and using game genie codes on top! Pretty Sweet and easy!

Now you are free to use any of the cheats that have been featured in my Game Genie Hijinx! Series, as long as it’s on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive anyway.
